Life in Belgium 2

This week is an holliday week in Belgium, so everything is really quiet. In the lab, everything is on hollidays or at the Environmental Sciences conferences in Vienna, so there is no noise and it is weird not to here the professors's laugh in the corridor.
I did some lab work and it is pretty interesting, I learnt a lot of new things, so I really see now that this internship made me discover many glaciological tools and practical work and that was my former goal therefore I am glad.
Last friday, I also discover Bruxelles a bit more in visiting with MarieB and this city is very nice and full of interest. Nevertheless, I can say now that I really prefer the dutch cities than the Belgium one, because for some reason I feel safer in the Netherland.
This week end my familly come in Belgium so I can not wait to them again, especially cause it made 4 months I had'nt seen them and my sister also.

So here are some pictures I just made, there is a picture of me going in the cold room, a picture of the nitrogen cold bath I do for my sampling (and i like that a lot because it is like making ice) and the colorful pictures of thin slides of ice under polarized light where we can see very good the ice cristals.
